FAQ

Q: Why cant we feed the wildlife?

A: We love our wildlife, however, when we feed them we can negatively affect their health in the following ways.

  •    We can alter their capacity to hunt and forage for food.

  •    People often feed food to wildlife that is not part of their normal diet - this can adversely affect their health.

  • We carry different germs and bacteria on our hands than what they are normally exposed to.  (this has had disasterous effects in some other parts of the world)

  • Some animals can transmit diseases to you via minor scratches or bites. If this inadvertantly happens to you seek medical guidance from your guide and/or medical staff.  Click here for our emergency contacts page.

Q: What happens if it rains on my tour?

A: This is the tropics, and while we have wet and dry seasons, rain is always a possibility. Unless there is a safety risk most of our tours will still go ahead.  We suggest a 'wet bag' for your electronics and pack a lightweight rain poncho or small umbrella and remember the words of Bob Marley: "Some people feel the rain, others just get wet" Embrace and enjoy the experience - there is tabsolutely nothing like being in nature and experiencing a true tropical downpour.
